"Authorities, including Berkeley and East Bay Regional Park District police had focused on Lake Anza inside Tilden Regional Park after some of his personal items were found in the area. Divers with the Alameda County Sheriff's Office located the body just after 2 p.m. Saturday. It was taken to the Contra Costa County coroner's office for an autopsy and a manner of death determination."
A body recovered in Lake Anza on Saturday was identified as 22-year-old UC Berkeley graduate student Saketh Sreenivasaiah. He had been reported missing the previous Tuesday and was considered at risk after being reportedly upset about a relationship. Authorities concentrated search efforts at Lake Anza after some of his personal items were found in the area. Divers with the Alameda County Sheriff's Office located the body just after 2 p.m. The body was taken to the Contra Costa County coroner's office for autopsy and manner-of-death determination. The Consulate General of India offered assistance and repatriation support. Suicide prevention resources were provided.
