Milpitas hosts Pumpkins in the Park on Oct. 25
"Pumpkins in the Park, Milpitas' annual Halloween tradition offers a chance for families to show off their costumes, trick-or-treat at community booths and enjoy crafts, games and performances by youth community groups. With the purchase of a Pumpkin Pass, children can also participate in activities such as a petting zoo, rock climbing wall and inflatable games. This year's event is set for Saturday, Oct. 25, 11 a.m.- 2 p.m., at Cardoza Park, Kennedy and Park Victoria drives. Admission is free."
"Those who stop by the Milpitas Library on Oct. 18 can learn how to grow blueberries, get a hands-on introduction to traditional Filipino martial arts, celebrate Diwali or get tips on buying a home. For "Growing Blueberries in Santa Clara County," set for 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Master Gardeners will discuss growing blueberries in containers and the types of blueberries that do well in this area."
Pumpkins in the Park in Milpitas is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 25, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Cardoza Park, Kennedy and Park Victoria drives. Admission is free, and a Pumpkin Pass ($18) unlocks premium activities including a petting zoo, rock climbing wall and inflatable games. Families can show off costumes, trick-or-treat at community booths, and enjoy crafts, games and youth group performances. Milpitas Library programs on Oct. 18 include an 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. session on growing blueberries in Santa Clara County, a 2-3 p.m. introduction to traditional Filipino martial arts, a 2-4 p.m. Diwali celebration with henna and crafts, and a 3-5 p.m. homebuying seminar covering down payments, credit checks, mortgage terms and first-time homebuyer credits.
