Disneyland will close the Pixar Place Hotel-exclusive entrance to Disney California Adventure on Jan. 4 due to underuse by hotel guests. Pixar Place Hotel guests may instead use Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa street entrance and the park gate beginning Jan. 5. The Pixar Place gate sat next to the Grand Californian entrance and used a circuitous backstage pathway to DCA's Paradise Gardens. Access earlier this year had already been limited to mornings until noon, and the gate was rarely crowded after the morning rush. Staff justification diminished amid low traffic, despite recently installed facial recognition turnstiles at the hotel entrance.
