Jon Hale of Brea plans to ride Radiator Springs Racers for the 15,000th time on Dec. 8. Hale documents each hundred-ride milestone with a photo and keeps a notebook recording ride number, race lane, car color, and whether he wins. Cast members recognize and celebrate his milestones, once stopping to add an extra ride and commemorate his 1,000th trip. Hale’s passion began in 2012 after major surgeries and significant weight loss, with prior milestones including a 10,000th ride in 2017 reached after about five years. Hale intends to continue beyond 15,000.
