Dead man found floating at Berkeley Marina Thursday

Photo: Paul Kamen Emergency workers pulled a dead man's body from the water at the Berkeley Marina Thursday morning. Somebody spotted the body near Dock N around 10:14 a.m. and called the authorities. Berkeley Fire Department divers recovered the body, and the Alameda County Sheriff's Office's Coroner's Bureau took custody to perform an autopsy, according to a police spokesperson."
"N Dock sits just east of Horseshoe Park, along the western edge of the south side of the harbor. Details on the victim's identity and cause of death were not immediately available Thursday. Police said there was no danger to the public. The discovery was previously reported by The Berkeley Scanner."
Emergency personnel recovered a deceased man from the Berkeley Marina near N Dock on Sept. 11, 2025, after a passerby spotted the body at about 10:14 a.m. Berkeley Fire Department divers retrieved the body from the water and transferred it to the Alameda County Sheriff's Office Coroner's Bureau for an autopsy. N Dock is located just east of Horseshoe Park along the western edge of the harbor's south side. Authorities reported no danger to the public.
