Cupertino kicks off the holidays with Community Tree Lighting
"Cupertino is holding its Community Tree Lighting on Friday, Dec. 5, 6-8 p.m. at the Quinlan Community Center, 10185 N. Stelling Road. The tree lighting will be followed by photo opportunities with Santa, a snowball room, holiday movie watching and kids activities. Volunteer hopefuls West Valley Community Services is looking for some volunteer elves to help with Gift of Hope, the Cupertino-based nonprofit's annual event for low-income families who might not otherwise have the opportunity to gather for the holidays."
"The holiday carnival is set for Dec. 6, 6:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., at St Joseph's, 10110 N. De Anza Blvd. The event features game booths, a food court, arts and crafts and a visit from Santa. "The Cupertino Symphonic Band will perform its annual Winter Concert on Sunday, Dec. 14, at 3 p.m. at the Quinlan Community Center. The program includes contemporary and classical music selections, along with traditional favorites, including Krommer's concerto for two clarinets, A Mariah Carey Christmas and The Eighth Candle. Admission to this all-ages concert is free, and holiday snacks and coffee will be provided. Donations of canned goods to benefit West Valley Community Services will be collected."
