Crystal Cave Reopens At Sequoia National Park | KQED
Briefly

Crystal Cave in Sequoia National Park recently reopened to the public after being closed for four years due to natural disasters. The cave is over a million years old and features unique marble formations. Visitors noticed the damage from record flooding and wildfires along the hike to the entrance. Sequoia National Park Superintendent Clay Jordan acknowledged significant repairs after the disasters caused around a quarter billion dollars in damages. Additionally, recent immigration raids in Southern California were declared unconstitutional in a new lawsuit against the federal government.
"I'm proud of the accomplishments we've made in repairing much of the quarter billion dollars of damage between fires and floods, but we still have a ways to go."
"Crystal Cave is over a million years old and stretches about three miles, only a small fraction of caves in the world are etched from marble."
