"Richmond homicide detectives soon zeroed in on a co-worker and obtained a warrant for his arrest. On Tuesday evening, they learned he had showed up of his own volition at the San Pablo Police Department. The man "attempted to make contact" with police officers, Richmond police said, but he was unable to communicate due to a language barrier. "Shortly thereafter, SPPD officers heard a single gunshot and located the subject nearby, suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound," Richmond police said."
