"She just said, 'Paul, I have some horrible news for you,' said Paul Laland."
"In my book, she is a rockstar, a silent rockstar, shy but charismatic. Her laughter, I can hear it, she had a great sense of humor, said Laland."
"Her spirit and passion inspired me and the many Structure colleagues who spent time with her each day."
Six friends were killed in the Castle Peak avalanche, including Larkspur mother Danielle Keatley. Friends described receiving the notification of her death as a 'sucker punch' and remembered her laughter, sense of humor, and quietly charismatic presence. Keatley was a devoted wife and mother of two and an avid skier. She served as vice president of investor relations and corporate communications at Structure Therapeutics in San Francisco. In 2016 she and her husband Dave founded Keatley Wines in Healdsburg as a boutique project to explore California's potential to craft the next generation of great wines. Neighbors noted frequent sight of her children in the neighborhood.
