"Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa - many different holidays over the next eight weeks that people will be focused on, as they should,"
"The ballots will go out in the mail Dec. 8. So part of our message will be to let people know, vote early, please vote early before you get too far into your holiday celebrations,"
"Holidays are the time where we slow down and smell the cookies and bake some cookies and enjoy family time,"
The $13 million runoff for Santa Clara County Assessor is scheduled for Dec. 30, leaving eight weeks of campaign time that overlap the holiday season. Ballots will be mailed Dec. 8. Los Altos Vice Mayor Neysa Fligor led the Nov. 4 vote with 38 percent and emphasized the need to prompt early voting and remind residents amid Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa celebrations. Fligor previously served as the assessor’s office attorney and was endorsed by longtime assessor Larry Stone. Former Saratoga Councilman Rishi Kumar finished with 24 percent and said his campaign will scale back activity during the holidays.
