Calif. health care employees fired after 'inappropriate and insensitive' video
""guess the substance,""
""Are patients allowed to leave you guys gifts?""
""This unacceptable behavior is an outright violation of our policies, shows a lack of respect for our patients and will not be tolerated,""
""My question is what is the culture of your clinic because why did this many employees feel comfortable participating in this?""
A viral video filmed at Sutter Health's Sansum Clinic in Santa Barbara showed clinic employees in a slideshow pointing at and laughing over stains on chairs. The slideshow caption read "guess the substance," and additional text asked, "Are patients allowed to leave you guys gifts?" The original poster's account is now private and identified as a former employee. The clinic placed current employees seen in the video on administrative leave and then terminated them for "inappropriate and insensitive photos." Public criticism surged across Instagram, Reddit and Yelp, and officials announced an investigation.
