Bonta acknowledged some steps by xAI to limit Grok uses but said their impact remains unclear. He opened an investigation into xAI and X and urged victims to report abuses. Bloomberg research found Grok-generated posts featured more nonconsensual sexual imagery than any other site, and Elon Musk promised consequences for illegal creators while xAI did not respond to questions about the probe.
