"Cameron Hoppas was removed as part owner of Bay Grape immediately following his arrest,"
Cameron Hoppas, 39, was arrested July 30 on charges including lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 after allegedly arranging to meet someone he believed was a 13-year-old. The arrest was part of a child predator sting that produced 13 arrests across Sacramento, Placer and Humboldt counties. Undercover detectives chatted on social media while posing as children 13 or younger and reported suspects continued to arrange meetings for sexual contact even after being told the profiles were minors. Hoppas reportedly traveled more than two hours intending to meet. Bay Grape removed Hoppas as part owner immediately and affirmed commitment to its community.
