The three men allegedly walked up to a parked car on Bryant Street near Tampa Avenue just before 1:25 a.m., demanded money and then opened fire, hitting all three people inside, DA's officials said."
"The victims were in the area to meet with friends and were shot while attempting to flee, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement on Wednesday, Nov. 26. This was a ruthless and targeted attack that stole the life of a young woman and artist and inflicted profound lifelong trauma on her family and the two survivors, District Attorney Nathan Hochman said in a statement."
Three men were charged with murder and two counts of second-degree robbery following a Nov. 22 early-morning shooting in Northridge that killed 22-year-old Maria De La Rosa, a Latin-music artist known as Delarosa. The suspects allegedly approached a parked car on Bryant Street near Tampa Avenue, demanded money and opened fire, striking all three occupants; two survivors were critically injured while attempting to flee. The defendants are Francisco Otilio Gaytan, 27; Benny LiconGomez, 27; and Eduardo Lopez, 21. Gaytan and LiconGomez were arrested, Lopez has an outstanding warrant. Bail was set above $2 million; defendants face possible life without parole if convicted.
