"The Chronicle reports that a 15-year-old boy was shot on a moving BART train as the train was approaching Fruitvale station at around 7:30 pm Tuesday. Bay City News has more of the details of the BART shooting. The 15-year-old was taken to the hospital when the train arrived at Fruitvale station, and the teen is described as being in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries. The train was taken out of service so BART Police could process evidence."
"The shooting on I-580 an hour or so later was at the interstate's eastbound on-ramp at Seminary Avenue. Per KTVU, a gold Subaru Outback pulled up alongside a black Ford Fiesta and emptied four rounds toward the vehicle. Though only one bullet actually struck the vehicle, and the driver of the Fiesta was fortunately not injured by any of the bullets. Anyone with information on that shooting is asked to contact the CHP Oakland office at (510) 457-2875."
Two unrelated shootings in Oakland occurred on Tuesday night, one on BART and another on I-580 near Mills College. Around 8:40 pm, a gold Subaru Outback pulled alongside a black Ford Fiesta on I-580 and fired four rounds; one bullet struck the vehicle, and the driver was uninjured.
