"Bonus season kicked off earlier this month at the biggest Wall Street banks. Year-end bonuses are expected to be big and rise across almost every business line. Now that some are hearing their much-anticipated number, Business Insider wants to know how expectations compare with reality - and where the money, however much, is going. Do you work in finance? We want to hear from you about your bonus this year."
Bonus season began earlier this month at major Wall Street banks as year-end awards were anticipated to grow across nearly every business line. Banks have started announcing bonuses while celebrations and complaints emerge. Recruiting firm Prospect Rock Partners reports that early investment banking compensation data show a modest overall increase of about 1 to 2% year-over-year. Vice presidents appear to be among the primary beneficiaries of the gains. A survey seeks responses from finance professionals to compare bonus expectations with actual payouts and to learn how payments are being allocated.
