Tillman FiberCo Florida LLC is investing $60 million to build a next-generation, open-access fiber network across Hernando County to deliver ultra-fast, highly reliable internet to residents and businesses. The project uses 100% fiber infrastructure to improve network reliability and capacity and to maintain uninterrupted performance during severe weather. Construction began in early 2025 and many residents have already started receiving service. The open-access platform will allow multiple internet service providers to offer choice, affordability, and improved service quality. The project emphasizes local hiring for installation, engineering, and field operations and aims to spur education, small business growth, and long-term economic expansion.
