Spirit plans to sell 20 planes, add Atlanta flights, recall 500 attendants

"Spirit has delivered unmatched value to ATL travelers since 2006, and we continue to play an important role in driving competition at the world's busiest airport,"
"We're dedicated to serving the Atlanta community with reliable service and exceptional value, and we thank the ATL airport team for their support over the years."
"excluding blackout dates."
Spirit Airlines is reorganizing under Chapter 11 after a second bankruptcy petition filed in August and is taking immediate operational steps to stabilize finances. The carrier intends to sell 20 aircraft in a court-supervised auction and to recall 500 flight attendants. Spirit will add seasonal service at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in April, offering 18 peak-day departures with nonstop routes to U.S. and Caribbean destinations and a limited two-day 20% base-fare promotion for travel March 15 through May 20, excluding blackout dates. In Florida, Spirit will operate five daily Fort Lauderdale flights, a daily Miami flight, and increased Orlando service while cutting costs and realigning its network.
