New Net Terrance Mann returns home to a very different Brooklyn
Briefly

Terance Mann has returned to Brooklyn as a player for the Nets, marking a significant homecoming. He grew up in the area, often alongside his mother, a local basketball coach, who introduced him to the sport. He has vivid memories of the neighborhood and of the Barclays Center being constructed. Mann's connection to Brooklyn includes visits to local landmarks and being immersed in basketball culture through his mother, who coached at LIU Brooklyn. Now, he looks to create new memories as a member of the Nets.
"Great. Man, it's just crazy to think about. I grew up around there. I remember being little. My mom was (coach at) LIU Brooklyn."
"I used to walk around the area before Barclays was even built. I used to be around there, walking around, always asking, like, 'What are they building here?' My mom's like 'I think Jay-Z is bringing the Nets from New Jersey.'"
