""We gonna throw the line out from that gate, so you just run right in the gate and you hook it to the line 'cause there's a hook on the end of the line we got right now. You just going to hook it and just dip back out. Sturdy," Taxstone instructed in an audio recording."
""Yeah, so I'ma tell y'all when to drive up. We gonna have the line out already, and I'ma just tell you drive right up, so you can get right out the car and do it," he said in another recording, detailing the smuggling plan."
Inmates at MDC Brooklyn were filmed trying to pull a rope with contraband through a gymnasium window. This scheme, orchestrated by Taxstone, involved detailed instructions sent via cellphone. The plan included using a 50-foot rope to retrieve drugs, cigarettes, and weapons from outside the jail. All participants, both inside and outside, faced federal charges and pleaded guilty. Prosecutors are seeking additional prison time for Taxstone, who is already serving a state sentence for manslaughter, due to his role in the smuggling operation.
