Brooklyn Children's Museum will host SMURFS Summer on July 13 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in collaboration with Paramount Pictures. Activities include a rooftop dance and sing-along to the Smurfs soundtrack, art-making in the ColorLab studio using cyanotypes, and a STEM workshop on blue dyes. Kids can participate in a scavenger hunt to rescue Papa Smurf. The event includes themed giveaways, and general admission prices are $15 for adults and children, $14 for grandparents, free for children under one year.
Expect the museum to be absolutely swarming with tiny blue fans (and, we’re guessing, quite a few big ones). Highlights include a rooftop dance and sing-along to the film's soundtrack, cyanotype art-making in the ColorLab studio and a STEM workshop on natural blue dyes in the Nature's Engineers makerspace.
Brooklyn is excited for SMURFS Summer. This is a great chance to introduce your little ones to those beloved characters and spend some quality, blue bonding time getting silly, creative and adventurous.
The Smurf spirit of constant creativity, tolerance, faith in the future and respect for others can be found throughout the Museum. We can't wait to bring SMURFS Summer to this Crown Heights institution.
