The Rippey family from Brooklyn produced multiple high-scoring prep school basketball players across generations. Deron Rippey Sr. scored over 1,000 points at Cheshire Academy, earned First-Team All-Conference at Garden City Junior College, scored 1,200+ points across two seasons, and averaged 24 points per game as a senior at Eastern New Mexico while maintaining a 3.49 GPA. De'Naya Rippey scored over 1,000 points at Cheshire, was a three-time All-Star and senior MVP. Deron Rippey Jr., a senior at Blair Academy, will surpass 1,200 prep points and has committed to Duke. Patricia Rippey was on a PSAL championship team, and Deron Sr. coached championship teams at the middle and high school levels.
