Former council member Ari Kagan organized an annual Holiday Turkey Giveaway in Sheepshead Bay and distributed 180 turkeys with volunteers and private sponsors. Fort Hamilton Army Base hosted a First Responder Thanksgiving Giveaway with help from Council Member Justin Brannan, the Met Council, and The Sol Goodman Charitable Trust, with Brannan recognizing first responder sacrifices and pay parity needs. The Bay Ridge Center held a turkey raffle for older adults, and Reaching-Out Community Services continued a long-running neighborhood distribution with large turnout.
