"“It's a good time interacting with people that you never knew. People come out with anything they find in the house and enjoy themselves all together as a big group,” Princess Trinity told Brooklyn Paper."
"“It's gonna be fun, because we do this every year. Many people get together, and they just sled and they have fun,” said 13-year-old King Mason, who was also looking forward to going down the hill "super fast.""

Winter Storm Fern dropped up to 12 inches of snow across Brooklyn on Jan. 25, prompting both cleanup efforts and a rush to Prospect Park for outdoor winter activities. Families and thrill-seekers gathered near the Tennis House at Prospect Park West and 9th Street as well as on the Long Meadow for sledding and cross-country skiing. Many people improvised sleds or used heavy-duty tire tubes to ride the hills. Children met new friends, shared hot chocolate with marshmallows, and emphasized speed and tradition. Some students finished brief remote school tasks in the morning before joining the park activities.
