On June 12, the Trust for Governors Island hosted the second annual Climate Solutions Showcase featuring 11 innovative companies involved in climate solutions. This event was part of the Climate Piloting Program and highlighted technologies addressing the circular economy. Attendees engaged in a Circular Economy Pitch hour, receiving feedback from industry experts. Clare Newman, CEO of the Trust, emphasized New York City’s potential as a hub for impactful climate technology. Moreover, current and past pilots participated in discussions about future waterfronts, endorsing the role of the city’s waterfront in enhancing climate resilience.
