Located within Brooklyn Bridge Park, Pier 2 has long been a hub for recreation, but the return of its open-air roller rink signals the start of the season and an influx of outdoor activities for families."
"The skating itself is unique, made of plastic-based materials to provide a "smoother ride and softer landing compared to traditional concrete surfaces." Opening day will double as a celebration, with "live music, snacks, and a variety of activities for all ages," organizers said. From 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., the roller rink will offer free admission to all attendees."
"The rink will remain open through November, with a calendar that extends beyond casual skating. Plans for themed nights, group outings, lessons and community-driven events aim to keep the space dynamic through the summer and fall.
