Pet owners demand action after neighbor's pit bulls have attacked dogs in Brooklyn building
"A Brooklyn couple is demanding a neighbor be held accountable for an attack by his pit bulls that left their French bulldog badly injured. Diane and Derrick Bradley are trying to pamper their 3-year-old French bulldog, Calypso, as the pup is still in pain following a vicious attack in the lobby of their Coney Island building Sunday morning. The couple can be seen on video desperately trying to rescue the small dog from the grip of two pit bulls."
"She said one dog had Calypso's head in its mouth, the other was latched onto her bottom. With Derrick's help, they managed to get Calypso free - but cellphone video then shows the owner of the other dogs punching the canines repeatedly. "When he came back, he gave me the leash, that's when he start that's when he start pounding when he start pounding the dog," Derrick Bradley said."
"Calypso isn't the only little dog who's recovering from a pit bull attack. Multiple other dogs in the area have allegedly been attacked by the same pit bulls - and the owners all want accountability. Leshia Palmer's Yorki mix, Milo, suffered four bite wounds in May. "They attacked him, bit him like four times and caught him on the neck. Thank God he lived," said Palmer."
A Brooklyn couple, Diane and Derrick Bradley, say their 3-year-old French bulldog, Calypso, remains in pain after a vicious attack in their Coney Island building lobby. Cellphone video shows the couple desperately trying to pull the small dog from two pit bulls while the other owner later punches the canines. Calypso's leash broke in half; she needed multiple stitches and nearly lost an eye. Multiple other small dogs in the area were allegedly attacked by the same pit bulls, including Milo, who suffered four neck bite wounds, and Denim, a therapy dog killed by the dogs. Owners demand accountability and called police.
