Barclays Center hosted a vibrant Lunar New Year celebration themed Year of the Horse, with red-and-gold decorations, limited-edition merchandise, cultural activations, culinary booths, and performances. Player introductions were delivered in Chinese and Chinese singer-actor Will Liu performed at halftime while Team Hype and the Brooklynettes participated in themed activities. Head coach Jordi Fernández expressed organizational support for the culture and the energy the celebration brought to fans. The Nets entered the night with recent wins but remained in a tight Eastern Conference race. The Pacers and Nets both navigated significant roster absences entering the game.
