On Saturday evening, the Mexican navy ship Cuauhtémoc collided with the Brooklyn Bridge during a training maneuver, resulting in several injuries. At least three individuals sustained serious injuries, alongside a dozen others with minor injuries. Emergency officials assessed the scene and closed all lanes of the bridge in both directions. New York City Mayor Eric Adams was en route to the incident site. The ship, which had been docked for tours at the South Street Seaport, was built in Spain in 1981.
