A 54-year-old Jewish man was attacked on a southbound N train at the Atlantic Avenue subway station in Brooklyn on Monday morning at approximately 10:45 a.m. An unknown assailant approached the victim and began punching him in the face and body while making anti-Jewish statements and forcibly removing his yarmulke. The attacker fled on an N train and was last seen at the Canal Street station. The victim was transported to SUNY Downstate Medical Center with injuries but is expected to recover. The NYPD's Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the incident, and police have released an image of the suspect.
