Summer Sings are a popular tradition in Brooklyn Heights, taking place at Grace Church and Plymouth Church in July and August. Grace Church will host the Sings on Tuesday evenings from July 8 through 29, led by organist Paul Richard Olson. Plymouth Church, also founded in 1847, will host Sings in August, led by Raymond Trapp and hymn poet Jacque Jones using hymnals including "Hymns of Truth and Light". Jacque Jones has authored several hymns and a collection reflecting modern experiences of faith.
