The Hempstead Town Board, supported by the Department of Community Affairs, held its annual Caribbean Heritage Month celebration on June 6 at the Dorothy L. Goosby Plaza. Town Clerk Kate Murray presented proclamations to distinguished nationals from several Caribbean countries, emphasizing the pride of their heritage. In her address, Murray praised the Caribbean's beautiful landscapes and diversity, declaring it the township's strength. She affirmed a commitment to treating everyone with respect, regardless of when they arrived in America, and highlighted the importance of inclusivity in the community.
