The Brooklyn Children's Museum is celebrating Haitian Heritage Month with the event titled "Ti Atis Haitian Heritage Month Selebrasyon!" on May 10. This celebration, in partnership with Haiti Cultural Exchange, marks a milestone as the museum's first official event for this month, as well as the conclusion of the Ti Atis arts education series that began in November 2024. Attendees can enjoy various activities highlighting Haitian culture, including dance, storytelling, and crafts, emphasizing the importance of creative expression in cultural education.
Creative expression is one of the 'stickiest' ways to help young people learn about our world, because it creates unique and lasting memories.
We'll be honoring Haiti's vibrant artistic traditions and learning more about our Haitian friends, family members and neighbors who live right here in Brooklyn and NYC.
