"Was just there last night and again over 30 people got their phones stolen at Brooklyn Paramount,"
"My phone was stolen along with many others. Really sad that this is what's happening at these events."
"We are taking these reports very seriously and continue to operate in close partnership with the NYPD. We're also providing additional guidance for fans about how to look after their personal belongings during a show."
Skilled pickpockets targeted crowded concerts in downtown Brooklyn this month, stealing dozens of cell phones from attendees at the Paramount and Brooklyn Monarch. Social media reports described more than 30 phones taken at a Silverstein show and about 11 taken after a Bushwick Monarch performance; 20 phones were reported missing after a Nov. 7 Hot Mulligan concert at the Paramount. Witnesses said groups of younger people worked together and fled quickly. Venues posted warnings and provided guidance, and the Paramount stated it is coordinating with the NYPD and advising fans on protecting personal belongings.
