""I am slightly nervous because we don't have the information to know what's going on. They kind of protect us by not letting us know," she told The Post. The student said she and her classmates at Brooklyn Latin - one of the city's eight elite specialized public high schools - have been dealing with what feels like near-constant alarms ringing through the halls, making them nervous."
Brooklyn Latin School has received untraceable bomb threats almost every single day since at least May, prompting frequent alarms and lockdowns that terrify students and parents. The same calls affect Lyons Community School and Williamsburg High School of Arts + Technology because they share the Graham Avenue campus, leading to shared evacuations and disruptions. Students experience shelter-ins that keep them inside until classes resume, or holds that prevent classroom exits. The NYPD has not identified the caller or callers, and investigators say none of the threats have been deemed credible. Some families are considering moving their children to safer schools.
