Editor's note: Mark Treyger joins City & State's Advisory Board

Treyger is somebody who's close to both of them, and is damn proud they're from Brooklyn."

Mark Treyger met Anthony Ramos while teaching high school history in Brooklyn; Ramos later became a prominent actor. Treyger served on the New York City Council and became CEO of the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York. Treyger joined City & State New York's 16-member Advisory Board to help guide coverage, the weekly magazine, rankings and lists to reflect diverse communities.
