Footage posted online shows seven men emerging from a manhole on McDonald Ave near Colin Place in Gravesend under the elevated F train tracks shortly after 2 a.m. An eighth man was already topside, coming from a nearby parked car and walking toward the manhole. He appeared to alert the men below that it was safe to climb up. After reaching the sidewalk, the men dropped equipment and removed layers including gloves and, in some cases, waders held by suspenders. An NYPD spokesman confirmed an investigation and said there was no cause for public alarm.
