The incident was captured on video as Marshall lunged at the woman and shoved her to the ground. A group of nearby men intervened, pulling her to safety and physically confronting Marshall. He was arrested at the scene with a knife and blackjack. Alyssa expressed her gratitude online after the incident, stating she was grateful to be safe.
Footage shared by TikTok user @nicabori5 has since gone viral, showing a group of men springing into action as a young woman was attacked on the subway platform.
Alyssa Marie was visibly distraught after the incident, crying and expressing gratitude in her post, "I am glad to be home safe, thank you guys for the prayers."
Marshall, a 42-year-old man with no prior criminal history, was arrested on the scene and found in possession of a knife and a blackjack.
The rapid response of bystanders led to a physical confrontation with Marshall, who attempted to kidnap the young woman before being overpowered.
