Brooklyn's largest mural has been unveiled; here's where to find it
Briefly

A new mural titled "Brownsville King of Love" is now a monumental presence in Brooklyn’s Brownsville neighborhood. Created by artist Victor "Marka27" Quiñonez, the 150-foot mural aims to spread love and honor cultural heritage while celebrating local hip-hop and Caribbean influences. It features a young local wearing a crown and a jacket that represents Brownsville’s diverse culture. The mural also honors the area's boxing legacy with symbolic elements, capturing community resilience and pride, and has quickly gained traction among locals and fans.
Marka27 described his mural as "a call to spread love and honor our ancestors by celebrating our cultures, and lifting each other as a community."
The massive mural, named "Brownsville King of Love," features a local youth wearing a golden crown and holding a custom jean jacket with the message "Spread Love."
A hanging pair of boxing gloves in the mural symbolizes the strength and resilience of Brownsville and its legacy of champion boxers like Mike Tyson.
Despite the challenges of painting a mural of this scale, the artist spent weeks on a crane, which shows the commitment to honoring the neighborhood.
