Residents reported feet of standing water that lasted for hours. Floodwater swept through nearby streets, and people had to wait at bus stops while standing on benches because the water was too high to step into. A council member cited city investments in catch basin replacements and stormwater infrastructure projects and urged priority for Bedford-Stuyvesant and Crown Heights in future upgrades. The Department of Environmental Protection was contacted and did not provide an immediate response.
