Public housing areas saw homicides fall 41%, shootings decline 31%, and shooting incidents drop 32%. Neighborhoods with the largest homicide decreases included Brownsville (21 to 7), Crown Heights (12 to 5), and Bensonhurst (six to zero), while Bay Ridge, Borough Park and Greenpoint reported no homicides.
