NYPD Special Victims detectives in Brooklyn are investigating a rape that occurred in Kaiser Park in Coney Island near Bayview and Neptune Avenues at 8:20 a.m. on May 26, 2026. A 59-year-old woman was walking through the park when an unknown man threw her to the ground and a physical struggle followed. The suspect raped the woman before fleeing on foot toward Neptune Avenue. The incident was reported to the 60th Precinct. The victim refused medical attention. NYPD released a sketch and video showing the suspect wearing a black bubble jacket, black pants, black sneakers, and carrying a black backpack.
