"Nadim, 59, was walking near Clinton and State Sts. in Brooklyn Heights when he was hit by the 2019 Freightliner box truck shortly before 1 p.m. on Jan. 23, according to police. Nadim then grabbed onto the driver's side door and held on as the driver kept going for approximately 600 feet north on Clinton St. to Cadman Plaza, where Nadim fell and was struck again by the truck, cops said."
Nasir Nadim, 59, was struck by a 2019 Freightliner box truck near Clinton and State Streets in Brooklyn Heights shortly before 1 p.m. on Jan. 23. Nadim grabbed the truck's driver's-side door and held on as the vehicle traveled about 600 feet north on Clinton Street to Cadman Plaza. He fell into the roadway at Cadman Plaza and was struck again by the truck. The driver fled the scene and remains sought by police. Medics transported Nadim in critical condition to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he died seven days later. Nadim lived in Sheepshead Bay.
