Jamil Ibrahim, a 56-year-old Brooklyn doctor, was sentenced to two to six years in prison for sexual abuse and illegal access to a patient's medical records. The abuse occurred in March 2018 when Ibrahim assaulted a 47-year-old patient at a Carroll Gardens clinic. Following his arrest, he was suspended, yet he unlawfully accessed the patient's medical files from another clinic. Additional witnesses testified against him, revealing a pattern of inappropriate behavior with other patients between 2014 and 2018, leading to his conviction.
