Rev. Clinton Miller led Brown Memorial Baptist Church for 25 years and his death has left the congregation and Brooklyn community in shock and deep sorrow. He served as a spiritual leader and friend who connected with people through open availability and strong communication. Miller actively engaged in community outreach by delivering food door-to-door during COVID, speaking out on social injustice, ministering to the sick, and building relationships with youth. His hands-on ministry, insistence on going into the streets, and emphasis on prayer and mutual support shaped congregational resilience and will be deeply missed.
"The church is still in shock,"
"He was a great communicator, and he kept himself open and he kept himself available. People just wanted to hear from him and we just wanted to see him."
"What I love about Rev. Miller is that he afforded us the opportunity to actually go into the streets,"
"I found it a privilege to have known him, to minister to this community, to each other, to hold each other up in prayer, to hold each other up in love. I think those are the things that really keep us going."
