Brooklyn Botanic Garden's big winter light show will return this year-and you can snag tickets sooner than you think

"Brooklyn Botanic Garden's blockbuster holiday tradition, Lightscape, is coming back for its fifth season-and this year's trail promises to be brighter, bolder and more enchanted than ever. From November 21, 2025, through January 4, 2026, the garden will once again transform into a glowing wonderland, featuring a mile-long path adorned with 19 dazzling light installations. Think an "enchanted forest" brought to life: firefly fields, glowing bluebonnets, flocks of luminous birds and a cathedral of winter light that's basically tailor-made for your Instagram grid."

"Among the debuts is Fluxit, a U.S. premiere from Dutch artists Vendel & de Wolf that uses hundreds of LED tubes to mimic flickering firelight. You'll also spot Forest Dancers, a fountain of light staged on Lily Pond Terrace and Flock, a surreal gathering of 175 glowing white birds mid-flight. Returning fan favorites, like Mandylights' Winter Cathedral and ITHACA Studio's reimagined Sea of Light, will be back to round out the spectacle."

"Tickets go on sale Wednesday, September 24, but BBG members get early dibs starting next Wednesday, September 17. Prices start at $29 for adults and $15 for kids (fees included), with free admission for little ones under 2. Discounts are available on Value Nights and off-peak dates, while peak entry costs $44 for adults. For grown-ups, note the expanded 21+ Thursday nights in December-seasonal cocktails and no strollers in sight."
