Brooklyn Botanic Garden will hold a Fall Harvest Festival on Oct. 25 that transforms garden grounds into a fall fairground with family-friendly activities and performances. The Cherry Esplanade features folk performances by Grammy-winning Susan McKeown and Brooklyn artists Wifetime and Louie Lou Louis, plus pop-up beer and cider gardens, games, and palm readings. The Atrium and Atrium Patio host the Terrain Pumpkin Patch for buying and decorating gourds and pumpkins, with a live demonstration by Maniac Pumpkin Carving. Additional attractions include a costume parade led by the Shinbone Alley Stilt Band, chalk art by ChalkArtNYC, traditional dances presented by the Redhawk Native American Arts Council, and Haitian song and dance by Riva Nyro Précil in partnership with the Haitian Cultural Exchange. Guided tours and educational activities focus on seasonal fruits, nuts, Indigenous "Three Sisters" farming traditions, and seed saving.
