The Brooklyn Nets' dance team, the Brooklynettes, is holding auditions for the 2025-26 season starting June 28 at St. Joseph's College. Dancers 18 and older will learn choreography from notable choreographers Jonte Moaning and Celine Edmondson during the audition process. Criscia Long, the senior director of entertainment, highlights the search for skilled dancers who embody Brooklyn's vibrant spirit, stating that authenticity is key. The Brooklynettes perform at Nets games and represent Brooklyn at various events, showcasing their dynamic and diverse talent.
"We're looking for trained dancers with star quality and the right experience and skills, but beyond that, we want dancers who bring their whole self to performing," Long told Brooklyn Paper.
"Whether you see them at Barclays Center, representing the Brooklyn Nets at community events, or performing internationally, the Brooklynettes reflect the vibrant culture and spirit of Brooklyn," Long said.
