"Groups of two to eight players are locked inside a themed room and given 60 minutes to crack codes, uncover clues and solve puzzles before time runs out. It's full-immersion mystery theater for family fun, friend groups and teambuilding."
"Coney Escape Room launches with three scenarios, each leaning into the kind of eerie storytelling that feels right at home in the slightly surreal world of Coney Island. One room drops players inside a haunted funeral parlor packed with unsettling clues and supernatural secrets."
"Koplan brings serious visual storytelling credentials to the table, having worked as an animator and designer on films for Blue Sky Studios, Disney and Skydance, including Ice Age, Rio, Ferdinand and The Peanuts Movie. If those credentials are any indication, expect detailed sets enhanced with cinematic flare."
Coney Island Escape Room debuts March 21 at 1205 Surf Avenue, marking the first escape room in southern Brooklyn. Groups of two to eight players enter themed rooms for 60-minute puzzle-solving experiences combining codes, clues, and riddles. Three scenarios launch with the venue: a haunted funeral parlor, a boardwalk conspiracy leading to interrogation, and a pirate treasure hunt inspired by William Kidd's legend. Founded by Anna Geller and Misha Koplan, the attraction features cinematic set design by Koplan, an animator and designer for Blue Sky Studios, Disney, and Skydance. The venue includes a live game-show experience with trivia and physical challenges.
