2 teens arrested after MTA bus driver shot in face with pellet gun, police say
An MTA bus driver was shot with a pellet gun in Mill Basin, Brooklyn, just before 3 p.m. The bus stopped at the intersection of East 65th Street and Avenue U. A vehicle with multiple people pulled up next to the bus. An individual from the vehicle pulled out a pellet gun and shot at the driver, striking him in the face. The 45-year-old driver suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention. Police arrested two teenagers about 45 minutes later. Yonathan Asulin, 18, was charged with assault, reckless endangerment, and possession of a weapon. A 16-year-old boy was charged with assault and reckless endangerment, with his name withheld due to age. Police said the investigation is ongoing and no additional arrests are expected.
